Man shot after argument in Napier

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was shot during an argument in the Napier neighborhood Thursday afternoon, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

The shooting occurred around noon on Fain Street and police at the scene said it started with an argument.

Two men were allegedly arguing in a car when the situation escalated and one of the men pulled out his gun. When he pulled out his gun, a shot went off, hitting the other man in the chest, police said.

Police said the victim got out of the car and wandered into a neighboring yard, where he later died. The suspected shooter has been arrested and could be charged, depending on the prosecutor’s decision.

This is the second shooting on Fain Street in two days. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, one person was shot and several shell casings were found in the area.
