2. Founder and CEO of Atlanta-based Flashtract discusses acquisition decision

💸 Atlanta’s latest startup acquisition comes from the growing field of construction technology.

Flashtract, a construction billing automation software startup, has been acquired by Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB). The public technology company focuses on surveying, construction, agriculture, public safety and mapping.

Since its official launch in 2020, Flashtract has made a name for itself in the construction industry as a platform that streamlines payments and important compliance information between general contractors and subcontractors. The Flashtract platform will now integrate with the Trimble product suite.

3. Floridaman opens above Breaker Breaker on the BeltLine

🍹 Breaker Breaker fans have another reason to visit Gulf Seafood Restaurant on the Eastside BeltLine this week when rooftop cocktail bar Floridaman opens on May 24.

Unlike Breaker Breaker, Floridaman is 21 and over and only open Friday through Sunday. Think of Floridaman as an outdoor sports bar similar to the rooftop bars at Grindhouse Killer Burgers, also owned by Alex Brounstein and Johnny Farrow. Eight televisions throughout the 55-seat bar will broadcast several games on the weekend.

Look for cocktails like boozy slushies, a version of the Painkiller and the “Freak on the Beach,” made with dark rum, pineapple, peach liqueur and mango Chinola. Beer and wine are also available.
