Three people die in a seven-vehicle crash on the expressway near Tokyo

Three people have been confirmed dead in a seven-vehicle crash on the Metropolitan Expressway near Tokyo on Tuesday, police and investigative sources said.

Four trucks and three cars were involved in the accident, which occurred in Toda, Saitama Prefecture this morning. According to Tokyo police, several vehicles appear to have caught fire.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the reasons for the accident. According to information, the accident could have been caused by a collision with one of the trucks. They are checking to see if there are any other victims.
