Diesel accident in Horsham Twp under investigation.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is investigating the cause of a diesel accident in the township Saturday.

Township officials said their emergency management team was on scene Saturday when hazardous materials spilled into Pennypack Creek between Easton Road and Blair Mill Road.

The Montgomery County Hazmat Response Unit and PA DEP were also on scene.

Towship officials said both were in the area around the creek to control the spread of the spill and begin cleanup efforts.

There is no danger to the public at any time, township officials said.

An investigation is intended to determine the origin of the diesel fuel.
