3 Atlanta police cars involved in crashes in the city this weekend – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — Atlanta police confirmed there were three separate crashes involving patrol cars in the city Saturday evening.

They all occurred near the Capitol View area where three police officers were shot and a man was killed around 5:15 p.m.

A sedan patrol car wrecked on Beatie Ave. SW and Dill Ave. SW. and a second patrol car was towed from that location.

An SUV patrol car crashed at the intersection of University Ave. SW and Smith St.

As of Sunday, APD could not provide information on damage, officers involved, injuries or calls related to the crashes.

TRENDING STORIES:

A spokesperson said all marked patrol vehicles involved in the collisions were under investigation, which would require additional reports and additional entries, and said these were being processed.

APD said it hopes to be able to provide that information at a later date.
