Israel’s war against Gaza live: Major Rafah attack feared after evacuation order | Israeli War on Gaza News

The Wafa news agency reports heavy Israeli bombings in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

Citing local sources, Wafa said that “Israeli warplanes” carpet-bombed eastern areas of Jabalia, killing several people. The agency said the exact number of victims was not immediately clear.

Wafa also said Israeli quadcopter drones opened fire on ambulances near a UNRWA clinic in central Jabalia.

The attacks come as the Israeli army renews its assault on the northern Gaza Strip after previously saying it had defeated Hamas in the region.

Previously, our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic covered Israeli bombings in Jabalia, turning the area into what correspondent Anas al-Sharif described as a “belt of fire.” The attacks also destroyed al-Sharif’s home.

Translation: Thank God we miraculously survived when the news reported the occupation’s attacks on citizens’ homes east of the Jabalia camp. An area near us was attacked with a belt of fire.
