Thirty-three-year-old arrested for first-degree rape; More casualties are worrying

Gaithersburg, MD – A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with burglary and first-degree rape of a minor.

Eric Bacon was arrested at approximately 5 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, in the 15900 block of Frederick Road by officers on routine patrol following a Investigation by the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victim’s Investigations Division (SVID). Investigators fear that more victims may not have contacted the police.

Investigators’ investigation revealed that on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Bacon entered the victim’s residence in the 15000 block of Frederick Road. Around 3 p.m., the teenage victim came home and found Bacon in the house. Bacon sexually assaulted the victim and then left the home with an unknown amount of stolen property. The victim’s brother came home around 7 p.m. and observed Bacon outside their apartment.
