Cade Borud, who recently moved to the Iowa Football League, arrested for drunk driving

IOWA CITY – According to Polk County records, offensive lineman Cade Borud was arrested early Saturday morning for drunken driving.

According to arrest records, officers observed Borud “swaying in his lane and crossing the divider of a two-lane roadway” while driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Officers said Borud admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to operating his motor vehicle. According to officers, Borud had bloodshot and watery eyes.

Borud agreed to a sobriety test and, according to police, showed signs of impairment, including failing the walking and turning tests and failing the one-legged stand test.

Borud consented to a preliminary breath test, which, according to arrest records, showed a breath alcohol concentration of 0.188%. He also consented to a DataMaster test, which showed a breath alcohol concentration of 0.177%.
