Gardendale man found dead after motorcycle accident

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Midland police are investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a Gardendale man early Saturday morning.

According to MPD, officers responded to a motorcycle crash in the 11120 block of State Highway 191 at approximately 1:28 a.m. on Saturday, July 27.

After investigation, officers determined that a 2003 Harley Davidson was traveling east on SH 191 when it left the road “for an unknown reason.” The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as 56-year-old Ronald Lee Rice Jr. of Gardendale, was found lying next to the motorcycle on the median of SH 191.

Rice was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
