Melvin Seals and JDB return to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on August 10th for the Dead Forever aftershow

In two weeks, Dead & Company’s Dead Forever residency at the Las Vegas Sphere will finally end after a long, strange time. At 30 shows, this record-breaking run at this technologically groundbreaking venue is a real cause for celebration, and luckily for fans, the music won’t stop after the encore. Following Dead and Co.’s final show on August 10, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas will host Melvin Seals & JGB for a premiere aftershow to honor the Dead’s legacy and prove that their world-changing music will endure until the end of the gigantic Dead Forever series.

Led by the original Jerry Garcia Band keyboardist Seals, whom the legendary Dead frontman called “The Master of the Universe,” JGB have become one of the most important exponents of the legacy of the jam’s forefathers, inheriting the band’s indelible spirit while working on their vast catalog. Over nearly 30 years, Seals & JGB have carried the message forward, earning praise at festivals for bringing fresh energy to the music of Jerry Garcia alongside working on the Dead and other iconic covers and standards in their inimitable jam form. The band’s rotating lineup currently includes a sextet format led by Seals and Dark Star Orchestra’s John Kadlecik.

Tickets for Melvin Seals & JGB’s Dead Forever afterparty at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas go on sale today, July 26, at 1 p.m. ET. For more information, visit brooklynbowl.com. For more performances by Seals and his ensemble, visit to.melvinsealsandjgb.com.
