FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Open in Houston Area

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is operating a handful of recovery centers in Houston as the region recovers from Hurricane Beryl, which knocked out power to millions of area businesses and homes.

The relief centers offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about assistance programs, FEMA application status, and housing and rental assistance. Visitors can also learn more about Small Business Administration programs.

Most centers, scattered throughout the city, are open Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Leon Z. Grayson Community Center is closed on Wednesdays.

FEMA has also made a map available online detailing locations and hours. Requests for assistance can also be filed online or by phone at 1-800-621-3362.
