Santa Fe police arrest five people for suspected armed robbery

Police said this happened on Sunday when they received a call from someone who said five people robbed them in a car and then drove away.

SANTA FE, NM – Police have determined the identities of the five people they arrested for a suspected armed robbery over the weekend.

Santa Fe police said they responded to a robbery call around 1:20 p.m. Sunday. The victim reportedly told police that five people robbed him at gunpoint and then fled in a vehicle.

Officers tracked the vehicle using a drone to the 6600 block of Entrada de Milagro. When they found it, there were people inside the vehicle.

Officers arrived and conducted a “high-risk stop” to arrest them. They identified the driver of the vehicle as Bernie Nazario Trujillo, who allegedly ran away from the vehicle. Police were able to arrest Trujillo after a short chase and with the help of a dog.

Trujillo is charged with armed robbery, two counts of possession of narcotics, resisting police, fleeing or obstructing police, and receipt, transportation or possession of a firearm by a felon.

The other four suspects were reportedly taken into custody without further incident. They were identified and charged with the following:

  • Patrick Adam Gutierrez: Armed robbery, two counts of possession of a controlled substance
  • Paulino Molina: Armed robbery, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, concealing identity and receipt, transportation or possession of a firearm by a felon.
  • Jesus Campos Duran: Armed robbery, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, concealing identity and receipt, transportation or possession of a firearm by a felon.
  • Fate of Miranda Jaramillo: conspiracy to commit armed robbery, three counts of possession of a controlled substance

According to police, 15 valid arrest warrants were also executed during these arrests.
