Geneseo man arrested after stabbing

A Geneseo man was arrested after police say he stabbed a person multiple times.

Geneseo police responded to a disturbance call at a home in the 600 block of South Congress Street on July 13. Officers found a person with multiple stab wounds to the head, face and body.


The victim was taken to Genesis Medical Center in Silvis and later transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening stab wounds.

Officers located and arrested David Boan, 22, of Geneseo, near the crime scene. Boan was charged with aggravated domestic violence and attempted premeditated murder. He is currently being held in the Henry County Jail. A motion to deny Boan’s release was entered in court on July 15.

Geneseo Police are continuing their investigation.
