Police identify man who was hit by multiple cars and died on I-285 shortly after getting out of wrecked car – WSB-TV Channel 2

DUNWOODY, Ga. – Police have identified a man who died when he got out of his car after a crash on I-285 and was struck by several other cars.

According to police, the accident occurred on July 8 at approximately 4:43 a.m. on I-285 at Chamblee Dunwoody Road. When officers arrived, they found that six vehicles were involved in the accident.

The first accident involved three vehicles, a second accident triggered a chain reaction involving several other vehicles.

Police said one of the drivers involved in the first crash, Victor Dimas-Paniqgua, 38, was struck by several other vehicles and died at the scene. Five other people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation. It is unclear if anyone will face charges.
