Ferriday man arrested for sex crimes against child under 13

FERRIDAY, Louisiana (KNOE) – The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Ferriday resident accused of committing sex crimes against a victim under the age of 13.

On July 8, detectives began investigating the sexual abuse of a child. The victim was interviewed at the Alexandria Child Advocacy Center that same day and a sexual assault investigation was conducted.

Donald Higginbotham III, 27, was charged with multiple counts, including two counts of first-degree rape (victim under 13 years of age), one count of indecent conduct with a minor (victim under 13 years of age), one count of possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, one count of illegal possession of Schedule I CDS, and one count of illegal possession of Schedule II CDS.
