Fatal accident is currently being investigated

A fatal accident occurred Monday morning at approximately 10:19 a.m. on US-64 at the mile marker 53 intersection, about 7 miles east of Hooker, OK, in Texas County.

The accident investigation is currently being conducted by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The accident involved a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Francisco Vicente, age 55, of Liberal, Kansas. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hooker Fire Department at 10:35 a.m. and transported to Henson-Novak Funeral Home in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Among the passengers in the Chrysler was Maria Lux Pu, 47, of Liberal, Kansas. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hooker Fire Department at 10:35 a.m. and transported to Henson-Novak Funeral Home in Guymon, Oklahoma.

A male juvenile, age 8, from Liberal, Kansas. He was transported by Hooker EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal and then transferred by Apollo to Wesley Trauma Center in Wichita where he was admitted for internal injuries to the head and torso.

A second female juvenile, age 6, of Liberal, was transported by Hooker EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal and subsequently transferred by Apollo to Wesley Trauma Center in Wichita, where she was admitted for internal torso injuries.

A fourth passenger, Marco Chicaj, 40, of Liberal, was transported by Hooker EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal and then transferred by Apollo to Wesley Trauma Center in Wichita, where he was admitted for internal injuries to the head and torso.

A third juvenile, an 11-year-old girl from Liberal, was transported by Hooker EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal and then transferred by Apollo to Wesley Trauma Center in Wichita, where she was admitted for internal torso injuries.

A second vehicle, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Ashton Harrison, 25, of Beaver, was also involved in the crash.

He was transported by Hooker EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. He was later transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, where he was admitted in stable condition for head and neck injuries.
