Buffalo Bill, inventor of the Wild West (ARTE)

William Frederick Cody, aka Buffalo Bill, was a self-made man who rose from being a buffalo hunter in the American West to an international showman.

His Wild West show was a huge success in the United States and Europe and has shaped our imagination of the American frontier ever since.
