Missouri man killed, 3 injured in crash in Escambia County (Alabama): ALEA

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Alabama (WKRG) – A Missouri man was killed and three others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Escambia County, Alabama, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

According to an ALEA spokesperson, the multi-vehicle crash occurred around 4:17 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, on US 31 near Old US 31, about 6 miles south of Brewton.


The accident occurred when the 2017 Jeep Liberty in which the Missouri man was a passenger collided with a 2020 Ram 1500 driven by a Pensacola man.

After the collision, the Ram was struck by a 2020 Hyundai Sonata driven by an Atmore woman.

William H. Moore, 69, of Higginsville, Missouri, succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Jeep and the driver of the Hyundai were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. The Pensacola man driving the Ram 1500 was taken to DW McMillan.

An ALEA official said the driver of the Jeep was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

No further information has been released at this time. The ALEA Highway Patrol Division’s investigation is ongoing.
