Surveillance video shows knife attack on Israeli soldiers

A surveillance video has been released showing the moment two Israeli soldiers were attacked with a knife in a shopping mall in the northern Israeli city of Karmiel.

The video shows a man wearing a blue shirt and baseball cap attacking the two Israeli soldiers. He repeatedly stabs both men in the neck. Then one of the Israeli soldiers raises his weapon and appears to shoot the attacker.

The Israeli army said one soldier named Alexander Yakiminski died in the attack and the other was injured.
