A Texas man was arrested after police say he attacked another man with a machete-like knife during a traffic dispute.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing incident near the intersection of North Market Avenue and East San Antonio Street in New Braunfels around noon Monday.

When officers arrived, they found a 55-year-old male victim who had sustained a cut wound to his upper body.

Paramedics were called to the scene and immediately provided medical assistance to the victim before transporting him to hospital in a serious but stable condition. The victim has since been discharged from hospital.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was involved in an argument with another driver while both were in their vehicles. Both drivers exited their vehicles when the suspect, now identified as Ochwat, confronted the victim with a machete-like knife.
