Auburn man charged with rape of child under 15

An Auburn man was arrested this week for allegedly raping a female child, Auburn police said.

Captain Kyle Platt told The Citizen that the department received an anonymous complaint on June 1 alleging that Weston R. Rhodes, 29, engaged in sexual conduct with a female child under the age of 15.

The department has launched an investigation, Platt said, including an interview with the child. Rhodes was arrested on a warrant in the city at 5:16 p.m. Thursday.
