Police vehicles collide in Las Vegas, officers hospitalized | Traffic

Two police cars in Las Vegas collided on Monday morning, police said.

Authorities said no other vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred at about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Main Street and East Bonneville Avenue.

According to Luis Vidal, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department, both drivers were taken to a hospital. Their injuries appeared to be minor.

Vidal said police were investigating the cause of the accident.

According to a department report, Metro cars were involved in 244 collisions in 2024 through June 14. Police were at fault in 119 of those accidents.

Driver inattention was the most common cause of police-related accidents this year, according to the report.
