Walnut Creek Police Arrest Suspect for Sexually Assaulting a Teen

The Walnut Creek Police Department has arrested a suspect for the sexual assault of a juvenile, and investigators are encouraging anyone else who may have been a victim to report the crime to your local jurisdiction.

On April 30, 2024, Walnut Creek police officers made an arrest Kevin Osborne for sexual assault on a minor under 10 years old. This case was reported to the Walnut Creek Police Department several weeks ago and a thorough investigation was completed. The charges in this case stem from incidents that occurred 15 to 20 years ago. After Osborne was taken into custody, the case was presented to the Contra Costa County District Attorney for review.

The District Attorney filed the above charges and Osborne remains in custody in the Contra Costa County Jail on $3,300,000 bail.

Given the nature of the allegations and the nature of the case, there may be other people who were sexually abused by the same suspect. Because it is possible that there are additional victims, we are publishing a photo of Osborne.
