Tupelo man charged in Auburn Township incident | News

A Tupelo man is facing charges of child enticement and aggravated assault.



TUPELO, Mississippi (WTVA) – A Tupelo man is accused of seduction of a child and aggravated assault.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office told WTVA 9 News that 49-year-old Kenneth Clardy was visiting a friend’s home in Auburn Township when he allegedly made sexual comments toward a minor.

The sheriff’s office reports that Clardy struck the minor’s father, who was riding a UTV/ATV, with his vehicle after being confronted with the comments.

The father was pushed into a ditch and suffered minor injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

The incident occurred on June 13 and Clardy was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail the following day.

His bail is $250,000.
