Fargo man arrested for burglary and fleeing from police | The Mighty 790 KFGO

FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man was arrested early Monday after breaking into his home and attempting to flee from police.

Just before 2 a.m., police were called to the 900 block of College Street North for a report of a man breaking a window to get into a home and attempting to steal property. Officers attempted a brief foot pursuit but were unable to catch him.

Police established a perimeter and initiated a sniffer dog trail that led officers to the Johnson Park area several blocks south of the NDSU campus.

The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Jason Giemza, was located in the 400 block of 11th Street North. He was taken into custody and is being held in the Cass County Jail on charges of burglary, evading apprehension and refusing to stop.
