MPs: Marshall man admits sexual abuse of minors

FREDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Officials say a Marshall man has been arrested and charged after confessing to sexual assaults on underage victims.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office questioned 79-year-old William Haroff after being notified by an out-of-state agency of allegations of sexual abuse, a sheriff’s news release said. The alleged crime occurred in Fredonia Township, according to the news release.

According to officials, Haroff admitted to several cases of sexual assault of underage victims. He was arrested and detained.

The sheriff’s office said Haroff was arraigned on Friday and charged with 12 counts of first-degree sexual abuse and six counts of second-degree sexual abuse.
