The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon star pays tribute to “best TV buddy ever” after death of his dog co-star

The cast of The Walking Dead pay tribute to the dog star of the show.

In the AMC series, which ends in 2022, the death of Seven, who played Daryl’s loyal companion with the imaginative name Dog, was announced.

The contribution that Seven as The Walking DeadDaryl’s “best boy” inspired several stars of the series to receive tributes, including Daryl actor Norman Reedus.

“I’ll miss you Seven,” the actor, who is currently starring in his own spin-off series, wrote on Instagram. After sharing several photos of himself with Seven, he posted a broken heart emoji and added: “Best TV mate ever.”

Other actors who paid tribute to “Seven” included Khary Payton, who played Ezekiel, and Lynn Collins, who took on the role of the villainous Leah.

Meanwhile, the series’ former showrunner, Angela Kang, reshared the original post and added a crying face emoji.

Seven first appeared in the ninth season of the series. He appeared in a total of 25 episodes.

Speak with ComicBook.com Reedus said of working with the canine star in 2018: “We just shot a scene the other day that ended up being the opposite of what it was supposed to be because the dog just wanted to do something different, and it turned out so much better.”

“He’ll probably run the show. It’s great! I love it. He loves me too.”

The Walking Dead ended in 2022 after 11 seasons.

So far there have been six spin-offs of the series, one of them The Walking Dead: Dead CityThe focus is on the characters Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

The latest spin-off, The Walking Dead: The Survivorsthe main characters Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) are reunited; the film is currently available to stream in the UK on NOW.

Season two of Daryl Dixon – titled The book Carol – Reedus will star alongside Carol actress Melissa McBride.
