Buffalo Central Terminal Announces Free Events for Summer 2024

Buffalo Central Terminal has announced the release of its free events calendar for the 2024 season. Community events take place from May through October on the Buffalo Central Terminal lawn.

The festival includes a wide variety of fun activities and events for all members of the community to enjoy. Events range from live music, plays and movie nights to fitness bootcamps and car shows. Along with that, there are school giveaways for kids returning to books as well as a full fall festival. From summer to fall, the Buffalo Central Terminal Festival keeps the community engaged and entertained.

The historic Buffalo Central Terminal is an important part of Buffalo’s East Side and the Broadway Fillmore neighborhood. The nonprofit Central Terminal Restoration Corp. has been its guardian for over 20 years.

The community master plan reestablishes the terminal as a center of activity. Buffalo Central Terminal is a beacon that attracts people and investment, celebrating and fostering the community voices and connections that contribute to the strong future of the city and region.

This year, the historic landmark is offering 15 free events over a five-month period. The festival plans one event on May 18, three in June, five in July, three in August and two farewell events in October.

Buffalo Central Terminal Festival Events 2024

Fitness Bootcamp Health is Wealth A 3-part fitness and cardio bootcamp hosted by GCOPE Fitness. The series takes place on the lawn of the central terminal from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on May 18, June 22 and June 29.

Central Terminal Auto Show Admire more than 100 meticulously restored sports compacts and muscle cars on Sunday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central Terminal Car Show.

Movie night This year, we are organizing two movie evenings at the Terminal. Join us July 29 for a taste of nostalgia with “The Goonies.” On August 28, an animated film is shown perfect for the little ones. More information will be announced soon.

Summer Concert Series After the tremendous enthusiasm from our audiences last year, we are delighted to announce that our Summer Concert Series has been expanded to four sensational evenings! Join us on July 11, July 18, July 29 and August 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Shakespeare in the Park returns to Central Terminal on Friday, July 19 with a “Summer Night Tour.” from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

5^th Annual back-to-school competition organized by Leg. Howard Johnson and CM Nowakowski

Get ready for the new school year during our competition on Saturday, August 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

autumn festival Enjoy our family-friendly Fall Festival on Saturday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring music, pumpkin decorating, photo areas, beer and wine vendors and more.

Trunk or Treat hosted by Matt Urban Center The tradition continues Tuesday October 29 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
