“I had to push him down”

Eva Green joins a long list of stars who have accused disgraced Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment.

In a statement to diversitythe 37-year-old Penny novel The star claimed she had to push Weinstein away after he made sexual advances to her at a business meeting in Paris.

These allegations come a day after Green’s mother, French actress Marlene Jobert, first revealed that her daughter had also been “sexually harassed” by the film mogul for two years in 2010 and 2011.

“My daughter Eva was the victim of this terrible man,” the 76-year-old star told radio station Europe 1, adding that she was speaking on her daughter’s behalf. “At the time I was really horrified, so outraged that I wanted to do something, but my daughter said: ‘No way! You don’t know what evil he is capable of.'”

In her statement to diversityGreen explained that while she wanted to maintain her privacy, she was now ready to talk about it herself.

“I want to address comments my mother made about Harvey Weinstein in a recent interview,” Green wrote. “I met him for a business meeting in Paris where he behaved inappropriately and I had to send him away. I got away without it going any further, but the experience left me shocked and disgusted.”

“I haven’t spoken out about this before because I wanted to protect my privacy, but I understand it’s important to do so as I hear about other women’s experiences,” she continued. “Women are often judged when they speak out and their reputations are damaged by being associated with them.”
