30-year-old man arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a young woman

The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) has filed charges against a 30-year-old man who allegedly sexually abused a young girl who came to his home to play on a mobile phone.

According to reports, on May 30, the woman visited a property where the man, Deomaien Edmonds of Meadowbrook Park, Kingston 19, was staying.

A police press release said the woman was playing with her cell phone, as she always did when she was sexually assaulted.

A report was filed with the police and Edmond was taken into custody on the day of the incident.

After a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney on Thursday, June 6, he was charged with rape, aggravated sexual assault and sexual touching.

His appearance in Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court is scheduled for Friday, June 14.
