AAP: AAP suspends former MP | News from Delhi

New Delhi: AAP on Friday suspended former MP Nitin Tyagi for alleged “anti-party” activities during the just-concluded Lok Sabha elections. Tyagi claimed that the action was taken against him for “speaking the truth”. In a notice to Tyagi, AAP Delhi chief Gopal Rai said, “It has come to our attention that you were involved in anti-party activities during the Lok Sabha elections. The party has decided to suspend you from its membership until the completion of disciplinary proceedings.” In an apparent reference to the AAP-Congress alliance in Delhi for the election, Tyagi wrote on X, “It is anti-party to seek votes for those against whom people voted you.” TNN
