Missing 7-year-old from Mobile County found safe and reunited with family

UPDATE: Jackson and his dogs have been found safe and sound and are reunited with his family.

Mobile County officials, along with canine units, are searching for a missing seven-year-old in the Turnerville area.

Units were dispatched to Odom Road, off Celeste Road.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 7-year-old Jackson Hillman. He weighs 65 pounds, is 3 feet tall, is shirtless and wearing black sweatpants.

He has brown hair, pale skin with freckles and hazel eyes.

He may be with two dogs, a Blue Heeler and a Chihuahua/Bulldog mix with black/tan markings.

He was last seen at his home on Odom Road in Chunchula.

According to the child’s aunt, Anna Salter, the father is on his way from Texas, where he serves in the U.S. Army.

She says the child’s mother checked on Jackson around 8 a.m. and he was still in bed. The mother then lay back down and realized he was missing at 10 a.m.

The MCSO is currently using drones and search dogs.
