Police: Significant delays expected on Northway after accident

ROUND LAKE, N.Y. (WNYT) – I-87 between exits 10 and 11 north will be reduced to one lane for some time as emergency crews clear sand after the commercial vehicle hauling the sand overturned. The accident occurred around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to New York State Police.

The state police are asking the public to avoid the area as there are already significant traffic disruptions. It is not yet known how long the clean-up work is expected to take.
