Shelocta man arrested for illegal possession of firearm | News, Sports, Jobs

When Lycoming Regional Police offered 37-year-old Rocky Alan Wilson of Shelocta a ride after a car crash in the 10000 block of Route 220 South just before 4 a.m. on April 2, Wilson repeatedly told police he was unarmed, an affidavit states.

However, after being informed that he would be patted down before entering the patrol car, he admitted to having a gun hidden in his back pocket, police allege. The gun’s magazine was fully loaded, but there was no round in the chamber.

Wilson admitted that he did not have a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon.

After being arraigned before District Judge Denise Dieter on a charge of carrying a firearm without a permit, Wilson was released on $15,000 bail.
