Kanpur: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly taken hostage and raped by two youths in a village in Rura area of ​​Kanpur Dehat police station on Friday. Both the accused were arrested on Sunday after a complaint was registered. The girl was taken for medical examination. According to the complaint, the girl was in the village to fetch her cattle when the incident took place. The girl’s father stated in his complaint that he had sent his minor daughter to fetch cattle around 1 pm on Friday when her neighbours Sumit Kashyap and his friend Shailendra Kashyap took his daughter hostage and raped her. “Later, when he came to know about the incident and other family members went to the houses of his daughter’s tormentors, Sumit and Shailendra’s family members threatened them with dire consequences,” he claimed. Police station in-charge SN Singh said that a report was registered on the complaint of the victim’s father. “The victim was taken for medical examination.” Both the accused are being questioned in this regard,” he added.
