A cooking accident sparked a fire at a Midtown Mountain Home apartment building early Saturday morning. No injuries were reported in the fire at 821 Langston Street.

According to the Mountain Home Fire Department, the alarm came in at Steve Hogan’s home shortly after 2 a.m. The fire started in the kitchen and caused 10% fire damage and 10% smoke damage to the home.

For almost one and a half hours, 14 emergency personnel with two firefighting teams, a turntable ladder company, a rescue unit and an escort vehicle were on site.
