Caldwell man arrested in Home Depot burglary

Daniel Stratton, 33, was charged with three counts of burglary in connection with break-ins at Home Depot in Meridian and Boise, according to Meridian police.

MERIDIAN, Idaho – Meridian police arrested 33-year-old Daniel Stratton of Caldwell on Monday for a suspected burglary after he fled police in his vehicle.

He was charged with three counts of burglary, according to the Meridian Police Department (MPD). The Home Depot store burglaries in Meridian and Boise were a crime. Stratton was also charged with fleeing police.

On May 21 at approximately 6:20 p.m., MPD found Stratton in his vehicle in the area of ​​East 5th and Idaho Streets in Meridian and attempted to approach him before he fled for a short distance, eventually stopping and being arrested, according to police.

A press release from the department said Stratton likely stole lawn mowers with the intention of selling them online.

Stratton was booked into the Ada County Jail on his charges.
