Suspected gunman who killed local lawyer at McDonald’s arrested

The man accused of shooting a local attorney at a West Houston McDonald’s has been arrested, according to court records.

Anthony Martin Landry, 57, is charged with murder in connection with the May 4 killing of Jeffrey Limmer, 46, at a McDonald’s at 8147 Katy Freeway. Police asked for help finding the shooter on Thursday.

A manager told police that 57-year-old Anthony Martin Landry was trying to get a refund for a purchase when he became angry and called employees racial slurs and other rude language. Jeffrey Limmer, 46, “jumped in to defend her” before following the Landry outside, court documents said. After an argument, Limmer pushed Landry to the ground and went back into the bar.

Landry reportedly retrieved a gun from his car, opened the door to McDonald’s and allegedly shot Limmer several times before driving away in a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Limmer died at the scene, police said.
