2 dead in accident in Schuylkill County

Two people were killed in a two-car crash on Route 183 in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County, early Friday.

State Police at Schuylkill Haven identified the deceased as Nathan M. Reedy, 23, of Schuylkill Haven, and Italia M. Deering, 19, of Auburn, who were in the same vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other car, Linda E. Williams, 56, of Pottsville, was taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital-East Norwegian Street with minor injuries, police said.

A Schuylkill County Communications Center supervisor said the accident occurred at 12:09 a.m. on Route 183 south between Kiehner Road and Hurst Road.
