Hurless arrested on Sunday after traffic stop – Peak of Ohio

On Sunday, Washington Township officers were patrolling U.S. Route 33 near Lincoln Boulevard and stopped a vehicle carrying 33-year-old Wendell Hurless of Russells Point for a turn signal violation.

Signs of drug use were noted during contact with residents.

The driver of the vehicle admitted to recent methamphetamine use.

K9 Tega was called to the scene and alerted to the vehicle.

During the search, officers found a hypodermic needle and a scale with a white crystal substance on it in Wendell’s pocket.

The white crystal substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

Wendell was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.

He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments.
