HOMESTEAD, FLA. (WSVN) – Police are investigating a serious car crash overnight in Homestead that left one person dead.

Early Saturday morning, Homestead Police officers arrived at the scene of the single-vehicle crash in the area of ​​US 1 and Northeast 15th Street.

The impact caused the Honda sedan involved to be torn in half in front of a car dealership shortly before 2:30 a.m.

The victim’s body was seen covered with a tarp next to the demolished vehicle.

The police have neither established the identity of the victim nor provided information about the cause of the accident; the investigation is ongoing.
