Plane crash at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Ohio claims three lives

According to authorities, three people were killed in a plane crash in Ohio on Friday: the pilot and two passengers.

At around 6:45 p.m. Eastern Time in Vienna, Ohio, a Beechcraft BE-60 aircraft made an emergency landing at the end of runway 14 at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport after the pilot reported an engine failure, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said.

The patrol’s operations center in Warren received a distress call at 7:09 p.m. Eastern Time. Shortly thereafter, troopers arrived on scene and determined that the plane had crashed near one of the runways, likely due to a mechanical failure, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
