Killeen police seek information in murder investigation | State

KILLEEN, Texas — Detectives with the Killeen Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division have identified the victim of a recent homicide as 21-year-old Willie Bibbins IV.

On July 18, 2024, at 4:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of N WS Young Drive to search for a shooting victim. Upon arrival, they found an unconscious man with a gunshot wound. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced the victim dead at 6:30 p.m. The victim’s name was initially withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to a Killeen Police Department news release.

Detectives are actively investigating the homicide and are asking anyone with information to contact Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-TIPS (8477) or visit http://www.bellcountycrimestoppers.com. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the P3Tips app for iOS or Android. All information is confidential and tips leading to an arrest may be rewarded with up to $1,000 in cash.

“No further information is available at this time,” Killeen police said.
