Man was shot multiple times in Burlington and taken to the hospital, police say

BURLINGTON, NC (WGHP) – Burlington Police are on scene investigating a shooting.

According to a press release from the Burlington Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of South Graham Hopedale Road and Hanover Road at 9:50 p.m. on reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they saw two crashed vehicles.

In one of the vehicles, officers found a 21-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.

The victim was flown to a hospital and is currently in stable condition.

All those involved remained on scene and there were no active threats to the community or surrounding areas, police said

The investigation is ongoing.
