One person arrested after accident involving stolen SUV in Beechview

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person was arrested after a stolen SUV collided with two other vehicles in Pittsburgh’s Beechview neighborhood Monday night.

According to police, the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when Zone 3 officers attempted to stop the stolen SUV near the intersection of West Warrington Avenue and Saw Mill Run Boulevard.

According to police, the man behind the wheel attempted to drive off when officers turned on their headlights and crashed almost immediately, hitting two other vehicles.

According to police, both the man driving the SUV and a woman who was riding in the car fled on foot.

The woman was taken into custody and charges are pending.

According to police, the man is still on the run.

No one was injured in the chase and the accident.
