Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person in East Baton Rouge Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A two-vehicle crash in East Baton Rouge Parish left one person dead on Wednesday, May 8.

Louisiana State Police said 41-year-old Patrick George Isadore of Baton Rouge was killed in the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 37 and Monticello Boulevard around 10 p.m


Troopers said Isadore was driving north on LA 37 in a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe and ran a red light at the intersection with Monticello Boulevard before crashing into a 2021 Chevrolet Malibu. Isadore’s vehicle “spun and rolled over.”

According to investigators, neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Troopers said Isadore died at the scene after being partially ejected, and the driver of the Malibu was taken to a hospital after suffering moderate injuries in the crash.

According to LSP, toxicology samples will be collected for analysis.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
