Four teenagers injured in Polaris Ranger accident

On July 5, 2024, Mobridge dispatch was notified of a car crash in Thomas Bay. The four-door Polaris Ranger was traveling westbound on Thomas Bay Road. The Polaris Ranger left the road, causing the vehicle to roll over and land on its side. There were four occupants in the vehicle: a 15-year-old male from Aberdeen, SD; a 14-year-old male from Selby, SD; a 15-year-old female from Fargo, ND; and a 15-year-old female from Fargo, ND. The occupants were injured in the crash and the crash is currently under investigation. The following agencies responded to the scene: Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Game Fish and Parks, Glenham Fire, Mobridge Fire, Selby Fire, Selby Ambulance, and Mobridge Ambulance.
