Amherst Central Schools to host substitute job fair in July

Buffalo, New York (WBEN) – Amherst Schools will host a replacement job fair on Tuesday, July 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The district is seeking replacements for a variety of positions, including certified and non-certified teachers, teacher aides and assistants, nurses and food service workers. Applications are being accepted online.

The Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor has purchased an office building at Broadway and Elm Street for $1.55 million, according to Buffalo Business First. The building was constructed in 1927 and includes 9,000 square feet of office space with an attached 2,500-square-foot warehouse.

According to AAA, Buffalo’s gas price has increased three cents since last week, to $3.61 a gallon. The national average is 10 cents lower, at $3.51 a gallon.
