HOUSTON (KIAH) — As summer temperatures continue to rise, the Children’s Museum of Houston is finding ways to keep you cool and bringing along some friends who will stay cool and fun all summer long!

On Saturday, July 13, also known as 713 Day, you’re invited to enjoy icy tunes, cool sculptures and mind-blowing science, with the help of the “Summer Escape” event, sponsored by Champion Energy. It’s a day filled with icy activities and spectacular exhibits for the whole family.

Characters from the iconic movie “Frozen” will be on hand to help everyone have fun and experience a Frozen-inspired adventure. Elsa, Anna, Hans and Olaf will make special appearances for musical sing-alongs. Events will take place at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the John P. McGovern Kid’s Hall Alcove. And as a reminder, the museum’s “Summer Escape” event runs through Labor Day.

Other SPECIAL EVENTS include:

Liquid Nitrogen Demonstrations: Museum scientists take the stage with surprisingly cool experiments and mind-blowing demonstrations as you dive into the wonders of liquid nitrogen!

Event times: 10am-1pm at the INVISTA Science Station.

DLG Ice Factory – Live Ice Sculpture: Watch talented artisans carve flawless designs from blocks of ice, transforming frozen water into stunning works of art.

Event time: 12:30pm at Concrete Jungle.
