The Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation (AFRF) received $500,000 in federal funding to help renovate the Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 16.

“(The) funding announcement is a major milestone for our organization and for public safety as we continue to support the personal and professional lives of the brave men and women of Atlanta Fire Rescue,” said Taos Wynn, president and CEO of Atlanta Fire Rescue. Foundation in a press release. “We are grateful to Congresswoman Williams and her office for recognizing the importance of investing capital in Atlanta’s fire and emergency response ecosystem and the goal it serves residents and their community.”

This investment not only improves and modernizes the facility, but it helps to the legacy of those who came before us,” said AFRD Fire. Chief, Roderick M.
